Operational Readiness & Reliability

As we move into the back half of summer, we want to keep you informed on what’s happening behind the scenes to prepare for a smooth and successful fall.
Here are the key updates from our operations team:

Equipment & Facility Projects

We currently have a couple of sprayers coming off lease and are evaluating how best to reinvest in our fleet. With today’s high equipment costs and a rapidly evolving farm economy, we’re carefully considering not just what’s needed now—but what will serve you best for both pre- and post-emergence applications into the future. It’s about having the right equipment, in the right places, that’s both affordable and reliable.

If you’re planning for spring 2026, we encourage early discussions. Longer lead times mean early commitments are more important than ever.

We’re also completing several infrastructure projects this summer:

  • NW Agronomy Joint Venture with CFS: We’re in the process of routine inspection and cleaning several tanks, as recommended by the MDA. These five-year inspections ensure long-term safety and operational excellence.
  • Thornton Bulk Plant: The refined fuel and propane plant is in the process of being sandblasted and painted.
  • Corwith Bulk Plant: Inspections are underway on select tanks to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Woden Facility: This location is being decommissioned, which may include environmental cleanup efforts.

Across all sites, we’re holding our facilities to the same high standards we apply to our service—and we feel confident about where things stand.

Narrow Application Windows–Early Requests Help

This summer’s weather has made field access difficult at times. Rain, heat, and wind have created tighter windows for application. To better serve your operation, we encourage early communication and scheduling so we can meet your needs in time.

Propane Fill Program & Safety Initiatives

Our Propane Refill Program began on May 12 and is wrapping up smoothly. We secured additional supply through railcars and have been actively unloading in Welcome for reliable distribution.

Next, our energy team is focused on safety programs:

  • Regulator Replacement Program: We’re working toward 100% completion by summer’s end. Your responsiveness helps us complete this important task.
  • Commercial Leak Checks: Required annually. If contacted, please allow access so we can ensure your systems meet safety standards. Uncompleted checks could lead to service disruptions as we head into the heating season.

We appreciate your continued cooperation and support. Your partnership helps us maintain safe, timely service for all.
