Thanks to all who welcomed me back since my return to NuWay-K&H Cooperative at the beginning of August. For those I have yet to meet, allow me to give you some personal history.
I started with NuWay Cooperative in 2001 as an applicator. After that, I delivered propane and refined fuels, worked in the shop, and did a bit of everything. In 2013, I became a Certified Energy Specialist (CES) with NuWay and worked in that position until moving to northern Minnesota in 2017.
Living in Nisswa, I worked for Best Oil at its Brainerd office. I was in charge of the marketing and delivery of bulk fuel and packaged oil for five locations, from Brainerd to Cloquet. That is what I did until August of 2024 when I moved back to southern Minnesota. Over the years, I have continued to help my dad farm, and that has meant lots of trips back and forth. So, it’s nice to live and work here again.
I’m glad for the opportunity NuWay-K&H Cooperative has given me to return as Energy Account Management Director. In that position, I’ll be in charge of the sales, marketing, and pricing of all energy products.
During my time at Best Oil, I learned a lot about management and making a budget work. I hope to use the skills I developed to benefit our customers and our energy business. Our market area in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa is very similar in size to the Best Oil territory I served for the past seven years.
