Help Us Help You: Getting a Head Start on Fall Fertilizer

by: David Anderson & Ryan Schmidt,
Agronomy Operations Directors

With harvest just around the corner, we’re asking for your help to get ahead of the curve on fall fertilizer application.

Every fall, our team shifts from dry fertilizer to anhydrous, which means the sooner we can spread dry nutrients, the better. Waiting to apply until late in the season creates a ripple effect that impacts everything from fall spreading to spring prep.

We know early fall can feel too soon—but if fields are ready, we’re ready! We want all wheels turning as soon as harvest begins. Every day we lose now is a day we might not get back if the weather turns.

Remember: A slow fall often means a chaotic spring. If fall fieldwork is delayed, all that work shifts into spring—when equipment and labor are already stretched thin.

By allowing us to begin earlier, you’re giving us the best chance to complete your fall application work on time, with quality and precision. It’s about maximizing opportunity while we still have the window—and ensuring we’re set up to succeed in the spring.
