Living the Cooperative Way: NuWay-K&H Gives Back to Trimont’s First Responders

At the core of the cooperative model is a commitment to strengthening our local communities. We strive to be active community members, reinvesting resources to benefit the areas we serve.

Recently, we had the opportunity to support the Trimont Ambulance Service, an organization that our community depends on! Through a combined donation of $8,000 from NuWay-K&H Cooperative and the Land O’Lakes Foundation Community Support Grant, the service was able to acquire a new Zoll defibrillator and electrocardiogram (ECG) machine.

The new Zoll machine is critical for the 16 volunteer EMS members who respond to between 100 and 130 emergency calls each year across 80 square miles surrounding Trimont. The Zoll machine allows them to quickly assess and provide life-saving care during medical emergencies, a critical resource for our rural communities.

It’s not every day that we get to support those who support our community, and we are grateful for the opportunity!
