We want to recognize our seasonal employees in operations for their hard work and years of service. These seasonal employees and their years of service are listed in a chart accompanying this article.
We get our seasonal employees in March. Some of them just work for us during the spring season, then come back in the fall. Others remain with us from March through the fall.

Seasonal employees perform a variety of tasks, such as getting our NH3 tanks prepared for the season, delivering seed, dry and liquid fertilizer, and chemicals to our customers’ farms and fields. They also wash and paint propane tanks all summer long. Some of them help maintain the image of the cooperative’s facilities, including its retail stores, by spraying weeds, and painting curbs and parking lot lines.
In short, our seasonal employees free up our full-time employees to do what they were hired and specially trained to do.
We have 19 seasonal employees and almost the same number of full-time employees working in our operations division. The seasonal employees are extremely reliable and dependable. When we ask them to do a job, they are “all in” to complete that job well. They seem happy to work for NuWay-K&H Cooperative, and the cooperative is honored to have them as part of our work force serving our member-owners.
