NuWay-K&H Agronomy Account Managers
Weed control in both corn and soybean fields was one of the biggest challenges this past season. As we reflect on the year, we also want to share updates from recent customer trials and offer early recommendations for 2026, particularly around managing weed pressure more effectively and maximizing input efficiency.
This year, our team placed several key trials, including Xyway applied with 32% UAN fertilizer, DASH PBC and DASH PBS, as well as Ascend ST3 on soybeans. These trials focused on evaluating plant health, stand establishment, and product performance under local conditions. If you would like to know more about these trails please reach out to your Agronomy Account Manager.
A major challenge in 2025 was weed control, particularly in corn and soybean fields. In many areas, drown-out spots from the 2024 season contributed to higher weed seed banks and more pressure early on. In soybeans, we’re seeing continued limitations with post-emergent herbicides like Liberty and Enlist One, which offer no residual control. They only take out what’s emerged at the time of spraying.
Looking ahead to 2026, we recommend a two-pass approach: start with a strong pre-emerge herbicide, then follow up your first post-emerge pass with a residual product to hold back late-emerging weeds. Products like Zidua SC, Dual Magnum, and Outlook (Group 15 herbicides) are excellent options to pair with Liberty or Enlist One. These seedling shoot inhibitors provide extended control during critical growth windows.
Now is also the time to begin discussions around fall strip-till programs. If you’re considering strip-till this fall, we encourage you to reach out soon to secure your acres and equipment scheduling.
Finally, we’d like to remind you to explore the NuWay-K&H customer portal by visiting portal.nuway-kandh.com, if you haven’t already. It’s a convenient tool to track invoices, view product history, and stay organized heading into fall.
